2009 Arbor Day & Earth Day Celebration

Forty students and parents came together to celebrate Arbor Day and Earth day on April 4, 2009. Tree Partners gave a demonstration on tree care and how to plant the 35 trees that were being planted that day at the school site. P.G. &E. Forester, Richard Yarnell gave a very informative talk on the "Right Tree, Right Place" and spoke of the many benefits of trees. Dan & Debbie Folkner cooked lunch for everyone. The Food was donated by Sodexo under the direction of Scott Hoyle. Principal, Mr. Bob Ellis welcomed everyone.

Tree Partners sponsored the event and the trees came from their Growing Grounds at the Atwater Federal Penitenitary. This project was funded by Proposition 12 grand monies through CalFire.
